From the Athens Charter it has manifested a concern to preserve those elements that mark the development of a particular culture, and their values are called heritage. The existing heritage, the building, by its nature, is one of those with greater permanence in time, and is part of the memory of a people. However the concern to preserve and restore this heritage has focused on those buildings the previous past the twentieth century, as much in the first half of this century. However, it is seen that man continues to make history, and there are buildings that mark the rhythm of the story. Such is the case of buildings that were made on the occasion of the XIX Olympiad in Mexico, who hold part of the artistic, architectural and urban legacy of the event, which runs the risk of being lost due to the incorporation of the City of Mexico to development and economic growth that set global trends. That is why through a socio-historical analysis within the Method of Deep Hermeneutics of John B. Thompson, and based on documentary and field information, which is set buildings that hosted this event, their current situation were, as well as its importance and the need for its value for historical care and promotion of culture and sport, to thereby contribute to economic, political, social and community development of the city.
