The third way: Hermeneutic reflexion about the historic heritage

What is the field of knowledge required to understand the historical heritage of a community? With philosophical criteria can decisions be taken to do or not to do something with it? What determines the possibility to create or build something new to society, the heritage that has been inherited from? This article presents a reflection to drive criteria and guidelines to take care of the historical heritage. Mention is made of hermeneutics and its link with the restoration of the heritage. It propose orientations of the hermeneutic exercise that supposes conserve, recreate and restore architecture and city structures. The urban heritage object is symbol and metaphor because it collects and shows the human and divine spirit in that respect the values of Beauty, Unity and Goodness of Being.
